Just what the area need a fun, hip, place for people to hang on the water! I am psyched. Let me tell you more.... "Superb Food & Atmosphere We just returned home from dinner at HUDSON. This restaurant recently opened and it AMAZING. The restaurant it on The Intracoastal. They have a huge outdoor area, the view on the Intracoastal can't be beat. They even light up the water and you can see the fish swimming. Great ambiance. The inside part of the restaurant had a huge bar. Tables and booths. There is a great buzz The restaurant was packed inside and outside. The food: DELICIOUS. We started with the Tuscan Flatbread made with Basil Pesto ~ mozzarella ~ teardrop tomatoes~arugula salad...YUMMO. My mom and I shared 2 main plates. Alaskan Halibut with Roasted brussel sprouts .. I had a hard time passing it over to my mom. She passed me the Atlantic Salmon which sat in a lemon hummus ~broccoli rabe ~teardrop tomatoes and a cucumber salad. The favors together we're Amazing Together. The portions were very generous. Sam the chef walked around to talk with the customers. The desserts were large and delicious. We had a great evening, the experience lasted several hours and we enjoyed every minute. Thank you for opening HUDSON. It is Amazing ! Go and Enjoy !

The restaurant is very nice with a big bar, nice interior and great outdoor seating on the intercoastal. Service is outstanding from the manager to the wait staff. The mandatory $3 valet is a little distasteful. The drink menu is nice but not worth the $14 tab. The food is average and is more along the line of a TGIF or other large chains. Nothing great in the lobster potato skins, fish dip, burger or salads. I would limit going here for drinks and appetizers on the outdoor patio.

Service & ambiance is good but the food is subpar at best. Its just opened 2 weeks ago so has alot of quirks to work on. Ordered the ashley chicken & was raw uncooked in half of chicken. The grilled chicken was guey & no taste. Quinoa salad was ok. Chick milanese was sooo greasy & tasteless. If they would get better chefs this might survive. Otherwise just go for drinks & enjoy the view

Great eats! Our holiday office party was hosted here and the food and drinks taste just as amazing as they look. The flatbread appetizers were my favorite! Each of our dishes were plated to perfection and the service was remarkable. I can't wait for our next girls night out. It will definitely be at The Hudson! Oh yeah did I mention the drinks are amazing?!

Third visit to Hudson; it keeps getting better. Great menu, friendly environment. Had the opportunity to speak with Jude and hear about future plans. Will definitely go back on my next visit to Delray Beach.

I was invited to the soft opening this week and went on the first night- Monday at 6pm- one of the first seatings. We were told we had to have a party of 4 and so we arrived very excited to try out this awesome new waterfront spot. Upon arrival we were seated first in our section and the restaurant is absolutely beautiful and modern, loved the ambience. Our waiter and the owner both came right over and we had water and drinks put in. The limited trial menu was explained to us and for the table of 4 adults we got one appetizer, one salad, one sandwich and two entrees. Now typically when I go to dinner with one other adult I like to enjoy an appetizer, salad and my own entree, so I had a feeling this would not be enough food, but hoped for the best. Our waiter came over to take the order and other tables were starting to be sat around us. We decided on the lobster potato skins, which were delicious, but an order of 4, so only 1 each. Then, we sat and waited for about 40 minutes and watched all the tables around us get food and nobody came. We were famished at this point and the waiter came over and we asked what happened and he explained the printer in the kitchen had issues and our ticket did not print and our food would be out shortly, no real apology, no promise of anything extra, nothing to tide us over in the meantime, but asked if we wanted another round of drinks. We got the second round of drinks and still waited for our food, the manager came over and explained the same thing, but no real apology or remorse. Every single table around us had all of their food and was finishing up and we still had gotten nothing other than 1 potato skin each. Finally, our food was brought out after almost an hour had gone by. The caprese salad was very small and not enough to share, we each got a bite or two, it was good though. The handheld sandwich we got was tenderloin, it was very small for the usual price point of $15 and COLD. We waited 1 hour for a COLD sandwich, unacceptable free or not. Then the two entrees we got were a porterhouse style pork-chop - which was about 50% fat, very difficult for 4 people to share with a very tasty sweet potato puree. The salmon meal was nice, cooked well, also not very hot and very difficult to share. We got one small container of fries which was decent. The food overall was not worth the usual price-points at all, cold and very difficult for 4 people to share, not enough food for dinner by a landslide. We got a dessert of donuts - which was 8 donut holes with 3 dipping sauces- these were pipping hot and by far the best part of the meal, even though we were completely "hangry" while eating these from not enough dinner. I understand that this was a "free meal", but my time and energy are worth something as well. We still tipped appropriately and were shocked there were no comment cards or anything, which is why I felt I needed to write this. The restaurant itself is beautiful, the wine "tenspan" is also awesome, the waiter was even a nice guy- just not in communication with us or the kitchen, we felt we deserved an apology and some extra food. This is a trial run for their opening next week and now none of the 4 of us, who all left very hungry and unhappy want to go back and neither do any of our friends or family due to our experience.

... a five minute walk to the best.. and don't have to cross the bridge!! Know there will be others having their favorites.. but IMHO.. this is THE best food in Delray. That's saying a lot for there are numerous other eateries in town, and many of them are very, very good. If you've already been, there's no way your not going back (again and again). And if you haven't yet tried them.. just go for happy-hour.. work your way through couple-three apps (and don't pass on the regular menu apps.. the crabcake and meat roll are both incredible). House wines (on-tap) are very passable, and the Brooklyn IPA is a personal favorite. If they're offering the vegetable flatbread special, it's 'a-must,' and can be shared between 3-4 people. All staff are friendly and very accommodating. They've only been open for a short time.. go now, before the crowds take over!! We're only a block away... and pretty much given up cooking.

Aptly named, you'll feel like you're having a little slice of New York right on the Florida water. The place is regal and elegant from the outside, and inside it has a very Midtown Manhattan kind of atmosphere. Everything from the chairs to the decks are so new (having only been open for a month) and the views of the houses across the water were magical, especially now during the holiday season. Went out on the boat with friends last weekend and docked at the Hudson for their burger again, I'm obsessed! They serve it with this delicious sweet sauce... the patty itself is actually short rib and brisket ground together. YUM. Found my new favorite upscale dinner destination in Delray. Best time to go is at sunset.

The atmosphere is excellent there are alot of boats and yahts going by, giving you a really nice Floridian atmosphere. Had the mussels which were amazing!!! The fried calamari and lobster potato skins were great! Had 2 kids with us and they loved it! The deck is fun to observe some ocean life! Would Def recommend for a nice lazy Sunday afternoon!

I was invited to the friends an family opening and was very impressed! The food was impeccable, and service was great too. They have an incredible view, right on the water. The brisket and short rib burger was out of this world, I mean can it get any better? Oh but wait...the Short Rib Spring Roll, WOW, the bomb.com !!!! And not to mention the cinnamon-sugar coated warm doughnuts, and the caramel, chocolate and raspberry sauces! I mean I could go there just to eat these-Super satisfied!! I will be back many many times for sure, can't wait to share this great place with friends and family. You MUST TRY this restaurant, you won't be disappointed!

We have been to Hudson a few times, and aside from the service( Brittany and Michele ) the place is bound to fail. The kitchen is inconsistent and management is even worse. We were given a discount for "in the business"the first two times we were there, and the last time the general manager decided NOT to honor the policy. Inconsistencies in new restaurants is what causes them to fail, as well as mediocre food. Stick with a drink at the bar, and go somewhere else to eat.

Not really fare to review a place during its first month. Its also not too wise for them to open during the busiest month In Delray. But you live by the sword and die by it. I really love the decor and what they did to the place. Finally this property was taken over. The bar scene looks lively with an age group that i can handle. Probably mid 30's ++. Downside its really noisy coming from the bar. Our waiter couldn't even here us. Dinner... Good choices. They could use another fish dish or too. Plus i did not see any oysters on menu. I had the Pork Porterhouse. It was outstanding... I ordered Med Rare and it was a bit pinker than i would have liked. Pork Sushi..YUM :) My friend ordered Halibut and it was like 3-4 oz. More like an app. size. The waiter and manager were apologetic and they comped us coffee and dessert. The bar was busy and seemed overwhelmed. Our drinks took a while. And of course they hire a bunch of blonds that don't know what they are doing behind the bar. But i guess i would DO the same...Because fellows like me like to eat at the bar and stare at tattas. I would come back and give them another shot. Valet is only $3 and did a great job. OH I FOGOT ,,, NO BREAD SERVICE. I don't eat bread... But my companions do. Must be a very cheap owner. !!

First, I love the location. Its been long overdue for this lovely location to have a decent restaurant. Great spot on the water across from Deck 84. Lovely views of the inter coastal and resonable prices. Four of us went for lunch (today was their first day serving lunch) which makes this review easy since there were several things to try. While I thought the service was a bit slow I'm not down grading them for that. Come on, first day serving a busy lunch crowd and there a bound to be a few hiccups. Our server was really great. Fun, friendly and knowledgeable about the food and drink offerings. Item One: The fish tacos. Three tacos to a serving which is standard for around here. The fish was well prepared and delicious. The "slaw" on top was also good and had a bit of heat. While I really enjoyed the tacos, I thought they could have backed off a bit on the slaw so the taste of the fish was more recognizable. Item two: Lamb sliders with taziki sauce (I'm pretty sure I messed up the spelling on the sauce) Three sliders to a plate with a nice side of the cucumber sauce. This item was really, really delicious! The buns were toasted and a decent size for the lamb burger which was perfectly cooked. This was a favorite at the table and will be ordered again for sure. Item three: The side order of Brussels Sprouts with Spaetzel. Lovely browned spouts tossed in a sauce with spaetzel. While I didn't take a taste, my sister thought they were very tasty and the portion size was large (enough to make that her meal) She did wish it had a bit less of the sauce. Item four: Mediterranean lamb flatbread. Wow! The presentation of this dish was outstanding. It looked amazing, it smelled amazing and it got great reviews from one of my dining buddies. He cleared his plate in no time and didn't stop oohing and aahing over the dish. (Sorry, I didn't get a bite of this either but I'm trying it next time. It looks just toooo good) Last item: sweet potato fries. They were to come with cinnamon and sugar on top but we passed on the spices. I'm grateful that our server told us about it beforehand because I would not have liked the fries to be sweet. Again, a very decent size side but I thought the fries could have been a bit crisper. Ours came a bit soggy but they still had good flavor. We will definitely be back

We were 10 people for dinner...they had no bread and were out of pasta for the children's menu...the Caesar salad was overdressed and another one had no dressing...the steak was tough and overlooked...the burgers were dried out...the diner salad came with 4tiny shrimp...the meal was horrible. The manager took off half the bill...he should not have charged us at all!!!!the only part that was OK was the service. It deserves zero stars

First time here, came to grab a bite for dinner. Pretty view, we sat outside on the patio. My boyfriend can't eat shellfish and I don't eat meat - which limited our options for appetizers. Kind of limited menu but the organic craft beer selection made up for it. We started with the fig flat bread and it was amazing. For main courses I got the beet and goat cheese "salad" and added shrimp and he got the lamb sliders. First of all - beware the salad actually has no lettuce and comes with a fried onion on top haha not exactly healthy. The shrimp are a $8 up charge and you get 4 but I highly recommend them they were cooked perfectly. My boyfriends lamb sliders were very underwhelming not recommended- more bun than burger and very plain. The quinoa salad on the side was so olive flavored I couldn't eat it. Maybe we ordered the wrong things but I would come back and give it another try.. My "salad" was good just more of a side dish than a salad.

We have been there twice, once was awesome the second was horrible. The first time both the service and food were awesome the second both were terrible. We will give them one more chance but at this time I would call it a toss up.

This was my first time at Hudson and it won't be my last. The atmosphere is pleasant, the wait staff is efficient and the managers are so helpful. By the way, the food was really good. Six tennis ladies having lunch and our server Renato was patient and efficient. This may become my new favorite place in Delray

    (4)
  • Suzanne S.

Excellent food, employees were very friendly. The only thing that could have made it better was a seat outside but the wait was long and it was late. We loved the beet salad, fish tacos, salmon, and the blue cheese dressing on my side salad tasted home made. For dessert we shared the key lime pie squares which were good. I would return again lots of interesting menu items.

Meet some friends here for a happy hour. Bartender was rude and arrogant. Not once did he say "thank you" during the couple of hours we were at the bar. Ordered a salad and after waiting 45 minutes I cancelled it. I'm not sure why it never made it out because they were not busy and I saw him enter the order in the computer. The bartender never apologized for this and had the manager take it off the check. Neither made any attempt to right the situation. We will not be going back.

Between the atmosphere, the view, the friendly owners and oh, the food (!), I don't know where to begin. Truly an overall exceptional experience!! The new Chef, Chef Paul from Hells Kitchen, is really kicking things up a notch with his life long love of the culinary arts. The Management staff and servers are also on point! If you are looking for a fun atmosphere, friendly people, cool vibes, great drinks, excellent menu and the best views in Del Ray, then look no further, it's all right here!! #lovethycraft

Such a bustling and loud yet rainy night at east Delray's newest kid on the block. This is my second outing here, and to be fair since it was new, I decided to wait to review. As there are many creative items to try, a second look see was in order. Unfortunately, I doubt there will be a third viewing. Although there is a parking lot in front, they charge $3 for valet, with no self parking apparent. Why? They did a great job redecorating the old known space, and fixing the dock to enjoy the iconic water view. It has the New York upstate rustic chic vibe and is Hudson bourbon centric. Beer and bourbon are strong contenders. Cannot say the same for the vodka (no Tito?) or wine selection. Some of the food is fine, a solid four star, but other items are barely passable, especially at this price point. They changed items from how it was first served when they opened a month ago, but it is still listed the same on the menu, which, was highly disappointing when the fork and knife caeser salad was served was no longer a fork and knife style but a plain chopped same old same old style. I sent it back, but my next selection took about 30 minutes to receive, which was tiringly long. My companion was finished with her meal by the time mine arrived. The beet salad although tasty ingredients were topped by pistachios, was laughably tiny, with no greens for substance. The calamari was deftly cooked, light as ever. Soup of tomato is ridiculously priced at $15. The potato leek at $7 is a better price, and was light on the cream. The squash soup was divine. The caprese is also lacking substance. Chicken Milanese, hand held, is not flavorful enough, served alongside overcooked French fries. The roast chicken au jus was perfect, served with a bevvy of lovely vegetables. What is not perfect is the amateurish service. We simply expect better service and delivery at this price. Our chatty waitress, although did acknowledge the slow service, disappeared for too long at times, especially when the rain came down on us and our food while on the patio. My food got rather soaked quickly, and we picked it and us up and moved to an empty table under the awnings. The server nor manager ever came by to ask if we wanted to move. After we did move, it took a while for any one to notice. They never offered to change out my wet food. Nor did they offer any other suggestion. It seems the bar crowd does not seem to be bothered by this lack of follow through, but locals will catch on quickly if management does not change it's game.

called to see if I could reserve a table for two tonight. Was told it was an hour wait for an outside table. I asked how long for inside and was told 30 minutes. I asked them to please put me down for a table for two and was told they could not do that until I was physically in the restaurant although I was right across the parking lot at a wine tasting. Will not be returning to this unaccomodating restaurant with an attitude.

    (1)
  • Di D.

Will probably never return. Went for brunch with my family and the menu is very limited. The decor is nice inside, but we sat outside that day. The view of the intracoastal is nice but I do not know if its because we sat outside but we barely got service. The waitress rarely came around it was awful. We were hot from being outside and had to go inside and find her just to get the check. The food was okay, we really liked the hash that came with our eggs but the lobster roll my mom got was meh.

The fish dip was phenomenal, so was our server Michilene. She made the experience and suggested our dishes which were perfect. I'll come back!

This place is jaw dropping. Like no other restaurant in South Florida. We spent the past week eating and drinking in the finest establishments between West Palm and South Beach and Hudson Waterway East topped the list. We had heard about the new restaurant and did not have very high expectations based on past experience with the Delray dining scene. Boy were we shocked. The interior design was completely unique and hip. It was immediately obvious that an immense amount of time, care and expertise was put into the creation of the space. Everything from the flooring to the light fixtures is unique and designed to make customers feel comfortable. And when you combine this with the setting on the inter-coastal, it is a very special place. We were immediately greeted by a friendly hostess and shown to our table and the service from there only got better. Knowledgeable waitstaff, talented mixologists and visible management that checked with us to be sure everything was to our liking made the service portion of the evening spot-on. And the thing about it was that it was not robotic, everyone seemed to truly care about us and wanted us to have a special evening. Now on to the food. We started with fried calamari with peppers which was a different spin on the traditional calimari. It was not over cooked and delicious. That flat bread with blue cheese, onion jam caramelized onions and figs exploded with flavor. The halibut was moist and perfectly cooked with a velvety sauce like nothing I've ever had. Steak was expertly grilled prime meat the was obviously top quality and prepared with care. The Delray community is lucky to have this new restaurant and we will be returnig to south florida as soon as possible just so we have the opportunity to eat here a few more times!

Nice atmosphere and exceptional service. We had the short ribs and they were very dry. No gravy or jus. The wedge salad was fabulous though. Disappointed in our main course but salad was great and service was great.

Service was great. Food average. Bar area looked very comfortable and had a lot of people there the night we went. We will go back for drinks for sure. It's nicely decorated and on the water. I'm looking forward to trying it again on a Sunday (to check out their brunch options).

  • R M.

Nice location and good service but the food was really disappointing and, just odd. Why in a waterfront restaurant in Fl are you serving Halibut and Salmon. Not local fish. Chicken Milanese was DRY DRY DRY. Pretty much a heavily breaded 1/8" slab of tough chicken with a random salad on top. Really? That's your entree? Put that in the salad section please! Menu feels like it was done by a big restaurant group with no feel for the local area.

I REALLY WANTED TO LOVE THIS PLACE!!.... i wrote the review below several months back and now an update. not much has changed. they have FINALLY built an outside bar - thank god!! Which was very needed, considering they are on the intracoastal... But they have not increased their bar to include your basic staple drinks. ie: Coors light Beer, vanilla or flavored vodkas, Flavored Bourbons, etc... despite repeated requests from patrons. A half ass** stocked bar is not gonna cut it in Delray where all the better spots have a full bar and usually all is half price during HH. It seems they are just stuck on trying to find their niche and not being too similar to the other places, but instead what is happening is a large portion of us locals are just not going. Its off the beaten path of the main part of the ave so its gotta be good, so you really want to want to go. Ive yet to see them even remotely busy on a weekend evening. The ambiance is ...off...at best. Hoping they find their groove..its shame to waste such a great location right on the water. Plus the staff turns over alot, not a good sign. Ive had several conversation with random staff members, even they see whats lacking, but management doesn't...or doesn't want to. Original review: I give the 3 stars for the awesome view and location. Anything on the water is always a plus but honestly the service was C- at the main inside bar. Deplorable actually. However, the waitress staff / cocktail waitress staff was great. Second problem, the liquor selection...non-existence!!!!!! Not sure who they are catering to, but its NOT the Delray crowd. some high end wines / beers and liquers, but nothing else. Food: we only had a flat bread, was just ok. theyve only been open a few weeks, so maybe have a curve to endure to be great, but theyve def got work to do!! Its not likely they are "newbies" to the bar / restaurant ownership in order to take on such a location, so it is bewildering why they cant get it right...quicker...but nonetheless, this place has to prove itself. As Delray residents, its been a week since we went, we've not been back since... no desire to go yet. hope it improves. its a shame to waste that view! Decor: very nice, very cool, yet a little sparse on the inside. they definitely need an outside bar...badly. cant imagine why this was not put in before they opened. weird. Fingers crossed they get it together and teach the bartenders some very basic customer service manners.

Everything that we loved: 1. Food, particularly the appetizers 2. View 3. Service (over and above in greeting us at the dock) 4. Menu Creativity. Not the usual hack waterfront bar food. Lobster Potato Skins, short rib spring rolls are examples). 5. Prices: good not great. Apps a bit high but meals lower than expected.

  • Elizabeth B.

The food was excellent the only problem we had was the quantity sucks for the amount of money they are charging an appetizers isnt big enough for two they have a chef that was on hell kitchen season 9 that came out and didn't even ask how the food was or introduced himself

The Italianate exterior is attractive, and acts as a pleasingly misleading threshold into the rustic, warm-wooded interior. One of the owners Ben, came over and personally thanked us and we really appreciated that. The happy hour has a great fish dip and lobster skin!

  • Jay S.

Great to have a new restaurant in this location...lobster potato skins didn't live up to the hype, but the burgers did! Fries and sauce that came with the burgers were delicious. Loved the four beer tasting flight....not sure we would have loved it as much inside, it was pretty loud and crazy in there, but our table on the deck outside was perfect.

Would love to give it more stars, but my first trip here was not that great. Nice service, both at the bar and table. Great view. Huge bar area, open floor for seating. Very nice layout and design. Unfortunately, the food was mediocre. The fish tacos had bones in it (seriously!). Not just mine, my friend's too. Big, long bones. Aside from the bones, they didn't have any taste. No sauce, very overcooked fish, and just bad. The manager at least came over and was super cool and apologetic (took them off our bill). I tried some other items that the table had and they were just ok. My friend had the burger and he loved it. Probably won't go back to eat, maybe to grab a drink at the bar. My advice to the restaurant is to hire a new head chef.

  • Art K.

OK at the very best. More like an overpriced sports bar, but at these prices?. Location could be great, but set up of tables is not ideal. Staff is very inexperienced and you can not find a manager. Food was OK. Halibut (signature dish?) was dry. Calamari was greasy, mostly tentacles and a small portion. Flatbread is overloaded with whole garlic cloves. I can deal with all that very easily, but I feel like I was ripped off. Beware of the drink menu. They list prices for each brand of liquor, and when the bill comes and see that they charged almost double of the list prices they claim they charged almost double because it was a larger pour! Really? And they don't have a martini glass in the house. My martini was served in a champagne glass and was less than half full! Really? And the waitress nor I could find a manager to discuss this with!

I'm not usually "one and done'' with a new place, but I'm making an exception for Hudson Waterway East. All style and little substance. Went in tonight at 4;45 for dimmer with friends and all tables were reserved, although there were few customers in the place. We got a "reserved'' table anyway, which was thanks to a nice waitress. Went down hill from there as the drinks were bad (too much booze) and the food average at best.

Hudson's attractive exterior is tremendously welcome in Delray. The views of the Intracoastal from their outdoor deck are gorgeous. These are the only good things to be said about Hudson. To award it anything more than one star is disingenuous. We are Delray residents who hail from NYC and Boston and assure you the food, beverage service and. management need a major overhaul if this place hopes to survive. Hint: Lime skins served in dry martinis (since when??) and potato skins served frozen (totally inedible).

Our group of 5 really enjoyed this restaurant. Reserved a table outside with a lovely view of the inter-coastal on a warm, beautiful evening. The good: the food was delicious and there was a really nice variety of unique options. I had the lobster potato skins for my dinner; they were absolutely delicious. I'm not normally a fan of potato skins, but these were smallish potatoes with crispy skins and a wonderful filling of lobster, jalapeño cheese, bacon and spicy aioli. Really really good. I'd go back just for these. 2 in our group had the brisket-short rib burger which they both thought was great. We also had the organic quinoa salad which had lots of vegetables in it and it was fantastic. Also had the pretzel encrusted crab cake and Alaskan halibut which were delicious as well. For dessert, we shared a triple chocolate cheesecake which was so so good (tasted more like a mousse cake, light with a wonderful flavor) and the beignets with 3 dipping sauces (chocolate, raspberry and caramel). I was so full but couldn't stop eating. Nice portion sizes for appetizers, main courses and desserts. The prices for some of the appetizers seemed high but the portions were generous and absolutely delicious. THE NOT SO GOOD: The service at this restaurant is awful. We ordered drinks at the bar before our table was ready and was so glad we did. Once we were seated, we didn't see a waiter for 20 minutes. Once we made it known to the manager, a great waiter showed up and took good care of us for the rest of the our meal. This restaurant is just over the bridge from the more populated part of Atlantic Avenue but we walked over there for a lovely evening stroll after dinner which was fun.

First time here. Awesome. Great happy hour. Just here for "quick bites" but if their dinner menu is anything like the tapas at happy hour, can't wait to come back. Best fish dip I've ever had.

Way overpriced drinks, and for the price they charge, terrible pour! Won't go back!

First two experiences were great! the food this time around, not good. The server didn't seem knowledgable about the food and when I asked for a healthy recommendation she says "fish is healthy" lol um seriously?! i know that fish is healthy, I asked which items that are healthy you would recommend. kinda disappointing but since the last two experiences were so good I couldn't kill them on their star rating. hopefully next time it will be a better experience :)

With its beautiful, relatively tranquil view, spacious and comfortably designed interior, imaginative bar menu and good service, there is no need for Hudson to be so noisy. The choice of music is so awful (and the sound so diffuse and deafening) that it detracts from what could be a tropical paradise. Located on the Intercoastal opposite the oppressively dark (and also noisy) Deck 84, this place has a more sophisticated menu and pleasant, attentive service. Except for the amazing, outstanding dessert, the food was passable: the pasta dish we had was lacking zip, and the lamb sliders (very good meat and tsaziki) need better quality buns; in fact, they would be terrific on toasted rounds of French bread. Ok, now for the dessert. We're still looking for the quintessential key lime pie, and although this wasn't the traditional wedge, it was a fabulous creative interpretation, zingy and limey, and topped with a whipped cream crown that had miraculously been made to look like meringue. Kudos to the dessert chef/artist and to our swell waiter, John.

If I could give Hudson a minus star I would. I don't care how good their food might be or if their once horrible service has finally improved. I will not eat at a restaurant that knowingly cheats their employees out of hundred of hard earned money. I personally know someone who was asked to do more than than the original job description and was told that she would be getting a raise for all of her efforts, (which the owner praised to the sky). Not only didn't she get the raise she was short changed on all of the additional hours she put in and when she finally was forced to find a new job the 2 weeks that they held back when she first came to work at Hudson was never paid to her either.

The restaurant is beautiful, location on the inter coastal enhances the outdo dining experience. The food is great, the presentations are beautiful & our server was terrific. I started with a smoked fish dip that was delicious & my husband had the lobster potato skins that were fantastic. I had the fish tacos & my husband had the short ribs. Both were great. We shared a dessert of key lime pie that was to die for. Hudson could very well become our favorite restaurant.

My family and I were pleasantly surprised with the food at this restaurant. Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious. I ordered the quinoa salad and it was and fresh, delicious and all the components went together beautifully. The outdoor area is beautiful and unlike other reviews I've read, we had wonderful service. Can't wait to return!

We just ate at Hudson's for the 1st time and iIt was fantastic!!! From the food to the waiter and the view... It was exactly what we were looking for on a spectacular spring evening in S Fl!! Our waiter Steve was great-- he was very attentive and friendly. The food was delicious and came out exactly as we ordered it. There was a short wait for a table but we grabbed a drink at the bar and really enjoyed the sunset and watching the boats go by on the water as we waited for our table. We spoke with Jude ( one of the partners) and he could not have been nicer!!!! We made the NY connection right away and chatted about the restaurant. It was a packed Sat night and the service was still phenomenal and the food did not take long to be served. Hudson's is a Great new addition to Delray dining. We cant wait to come back!!!

Sad disappointment. Upon entering the restaurant the hostess with the short dark hair did not greet us in a friendly manner. She asked for our cell phone number for the table wait and gave no explanation as to why. We told her we would be at the bar. First we waited at the bar for our table. We were surprised at the large Beer menu and the apparent look of this being a Brew house. Not good for a water location. The bar service was very slow. We were first greeted and then waited 10 min for service only after we demanded for a bartender to help us. The hostess then came up and said "what is your name" In a demanding tone. we gave her our names and then she said well where is your phone I have been trying to call you. Your table is ready. She was so rude and demanding we almost left. She did not tell us that they would call us on our cell. She was so rude is was unbelievable. We sat outside and the atmosphere was nice but this is all the place has going for them. I order the lamb sliders. They came way to fast which says "already cooked. The bun was very thick and the meat was so thin I thought I was at Mc Donalds. No flavor at all. I even tried the sauce which lacked in flavor even more. My friends had the Brisket short rib. Again lacking in flavor and served cold. The wines are overpriced as is the food. A waste of space for a beautiful waterfront location. You need to fire the rude hostess and bar staff and the menu needs reworking BIG time. Wont go back and wont recommend.

Well, being a Delray resident, I was sooooo looking forward to a new place on the water to catch a bite. Took our 2 boys from San Francisco (who are spoiled from great food) hoping Hudsons would be our new "go-to" place. I don't think so. The short rib was very insubstantial and the potato/bean/apple accompaniment I was looking forward to was sitting in a pile of grease. Literally. I thought at first it looked like a white wine sauce but after one taste could barely get past the lard. The Quinoa salad with filet was just ok. Salmon was fair but again very small piece for the price. The burger seems to be their best bet. And yet Burger Fi or Four Guys is way better. Come on, if u r going to do a burger, then do a GREAT one! I don't know. Maybe for drinks this place will be ok. But as far as dinner there are so many better places to go.

Since I live the neighborhood I'm thrilled that there is a new restaurant in the Ole Calypso space. I'm even more thrilled that the food is good. I've been there once for dinner with friends. I had the beet salad and pistachio encrusted goat cheese with filet. It was delicious and the filet was a perfect size as an accompaniment to the salad and was cooked to my specification of medium rare. My friends had the chicken milanese sandwich and the beef braised rib burger. They were quite happy with their meals. Our server, Brittany, was friendly and offered good service. Scott, the operations manager came over to make sure everything was to our satisfaction. My only complaint, which is true of most restaurants anywhere, is the noise level. When we left, my throat was sore from yelling at my dinner companions. Today, I took my husband for lunch. We shared the wedge salad with bleu cheese dressing and bacon and the beef braised rib burger with parmesan truffle fries. Only one word-- Yum! Our server, Ellen, was also very friendly and Terron, the bar manager, came over to chat with us. We sat on the patio, which was nice and quiet. We will definitely come back often and recommend it to others.

I'm back at the Hudson Couldn't wait to return! If you want the every day food you find in every restaurant this is not for you. Try the Watermelon and Tomato Gazpacho. On a hot day by the water it's cold and delicious! Followed with the Roasted Cobia, which was great!Awesome dish, thanks Chef. Josh recommended the Illusive Traveler and a Florida Cracker. Great recommendations! And thanks Manager Dave for making sure all was great! I'll will definitely be back again with friends and associates!! We love Hudson Waterway East!

Really great food and drinks! I got the Ruby Smash which was really tasty. For appetizer we ordered the lobster potato skins which were perfect. SOOO good. For entree I got the snapper which was perfect and came with a little polenta cake. My only complaint is that I wish there was more! There was a special apple crisp for dessert that was great as well! I would def come back here.

I almost didn't come out with my group tonight but I'm incredibly happy that I did. This was my first time here and I was impressed as soon as I walked through the doors. The decor was refreshing, bright and eclectic but with a modern twist. I also took an opportunity to walk out to their boardwalk after dinner and it was a lovely view of the intercoastal. I absolutely loved the menu too! There were some really wonderful combinations and I honestly wanted one of everything but my eyes are always bigger than my stomach soooo... I got the pork belly sliders and shared the Hudson Burger with my Mom. Everything had such great flavor profiles. I was a little obsessed with the pork belly sliders because they were so tasty and really well executed. Our friend also got the beet salad which was so delicious. I don't even like beets but I was pushed to try it and I'm glad I did. I was so delighted to find out that the executive chef was Paul Niedermann.. the winner of Hell's Kitchen several years ago. He came by our table at one point and he was incredibly nice and appreciative of all the praise. Humble even. You could see how much he really cared about what the guests thought of his food. I told him that I thought the pork belly was cooked to perfection and I found out from our server that he cures it himself. Awesome. Our server Lauren was simply the best. She gave us impeccable service and all of us loved her. I'm going to ask for her the next time I go. All in all, I can't wait to go back to the Hudson and try more dishes. I think I'll sit outside next time because it was so pretty out there! Don't change, Hudson!

Oy! I'm happy I had the opportunity to check out this fine restaurant. It's located right along the water along Atlantic Avenue in downtown Delray. The place has a beautiful decor and layout with a separate bar area away from the dining patrons. There is plenty of inside and outside seating and the intercoastal view is nice for the ones who sit outside under the covered deck during nice weather. When we arrived, we were asked where we wanted to sit and we stuck with the inside since it was still humid when we got there in the early evening. Our waitress, Lauren, greeted us and was an excellent waitress from start to finish. She recommended what her suggestions were for each course and didn't pressure us to choose it if we didn't want it. Her friendly service was very welcoming and my husband and I enjoyed our dinner very much. So let's get on to the real reason for this review: the food! It seems like I've been having a mule craving when it comes to cocktails these days, so I settled for the Delray Mule. It was a cucumber vodka, lemon juice, and ginger beer beverage that was very good. I didn't think I would like it with the ginger beer, but it didn't even taste like there was even beer in it. Score! After a few sips of that, I was feeling pretty good. Thanks to the bartender on duty this past Friday night :) The appetizer choice was the lobster potato skins loaded with jalapeño jack cheese, spicy aioli, and smoked bacon. I liked that it didn't have too much of a kick and they were gone within no time. During the Summer of Steak, Hudson has a check-in offer of 40% off of the 14 oz. Delmonico ribeye topped with green peppercorn sauce and a side of fingerling potatoes. My husband loved it and he finished it all off in no time. I got the brisket-short rib burger topped with cheddar with a side of homemade sauce along with the potatoes. It was so good! The burger was moist and juicy and the sauce went perfect with it. It tasted like a sweet and sour BBQ sauce. I forgot to ask the waitress what the recipe was for it, but I was so stuffed from all the food that it didn't even cross my mind. We couldn't even get dessert and it was very tempting. However, our night was completed by meeting Paul Niedermann, Hell's Kitchen Season 9 winner. We didn't even know he is the executive chef there until we randomly had a conversation with our waitress about the show and mentioned that we are regular watchers. He personally came to our table and spoke with us for about 10 minutes. It was incredible to have an opportunity to meet him and talk to him about his experience. It was a remarkable dinner and the service was hands down unforgettable. There's valet parking, which is complimentary in the early part of the day and only $3 afterwards. It can get a little pricey since it's in the downtown Delray Beach area. We went during happy hour and our drinks were half off. Plus, the check-in offer was a really great deal and helped even more. Let's face it: I'm intrigued and want to go back to try more items. They even have brunch. Uh oh :P

I was excited to see a new waterfront restaurant in Delray. Every time I would go to Deck 84, I would look across and wonder what that space would be, and now it's Hudson. For mother's day they went all out and started serving Brunch. As soon as I read this I made a reservation for my Mom and I to do that Sunday. Valet parking for $3, right at the door. We walked in and were greeted immediately with a complimentary glass of champagne (I'm sure it was for the occasion and not done regularly but, still a nice touch) and everyone wishing my Mom a Happy Mother's Day. As soon as we talked to the hostess and said I had a reservation, we were seated immediately and, lucky for us, it was outside where we got to enjoy the intercostal view, on a beautiful blue sky day. We didn't have to wait long before our waitress was at our table ready to get our drink menu. They offer limited mimosas (several flavors) and Bloody Mary. I opted for the regular mimosas, my mom had the Coconut Pineapple one. It's kind of like a Piña Colada but so much better because it's not too sweet, and they are not shy when they pour the champagne. Extra points for that ;) It took us a little bit to decide on what to order... everything on the menu sounded absolutely delicious. I usually stick to eggs benedict at brunch, and they had crab cakes eggs benedict but, wanting to do something different I went with the Mojo Pork and Manchego Omelet. This was so flavorful! The pork hash was delicious and the omelet, had a spicy kick to it because of the chili pepper rims on it. Also, loved how you could taste the cheese but it was not overpowering. My mom ordered the Shrimps and Grits. This was definitely the winner. Don't get me wrong, I really enjoyed mine but this was amazing! Rock Shrimp, perfectly seasoned, the grits were creamy and very tasty. The cherry tomatoes compliment the dish very well, and gives the plate some color making this a beautiful dish. Also on the brunch menu they had mussels (which I might get next time I'm there), Buttermilk Pancakes, Panko crusted French Toast (with bourbon bananas foster - tempting), Skirt Steak and eggs, Sandwiches (including French Dip, and a Maine Lobster Club), and salads. For dessert, my Mom could not decide which one she wanted so I ordered the two she liked most: Flourless Chocolate Cake, and the Key Lime Bars. The Flourless Chocolate cake is for chocolate lovers. Very rich, almost mousse like. Soft, and very creamy, served on top of a caramel sauce with whip cream flowerets, pistachio crumbs, and strawberry ice cream. The ice cream is perfect for this dessert. The Key Lime bars were great! I'm not a fan of key lime as I usually find it too sweet but, it wasn't the case with these. The size is perfect, they come with a little bit of raspberry sauce drizzled on them, some fresh raspberries and blueberries. Service was excellent, from beginning to end. They even asked if we wanted more mimosas after I had asked for the check. Every staff member smiled, were very friendly and professional at all times. My Mom had a wonderful time, she left smiling, very happy to have tried a new place, and immediately told my siblings of what a great place I had taken her to. Thank you for making me look good but, most of all for helping me give my Mom a great Mother's Day.

Hudson is probably everything you're imagining -- Dressy casual spot on the east bank of the intracoastal (directly across from Deck 84), with outdoor dining in the shade and really nice, expansive, open and light interior with a large bar. I picked this place for my husband for Father's Day because of the positive reviews, the fact that we'd not been here yet (since it was Calypso's) and because they were planning to offer a special Father's Day brunch menu...or so I was told. When I called in May to make the reservations, the person answering the phone for Hudson told me that the Father's Day brunch menu would be the same as the Mother's Day brunch menu. Because I couldn't read her mind and the Mother's Day brunch menu was not posted online (it was after Mother's Day), she giggled and gave me a quick run-down of some of the items. SOLD! I know what my husband likes, and based on her description, I knew he'd have plenty of choices. She then proceeded to take our reservations for Sunday, June 14. I corrected her and told her Father's Day is June 21. After a bit of back and forth, she realized she'd been telling people the wrong date for Father's Day. Regardless, we got it figured out and made the rezzie. Fast forward to our 11am reservation on June 21 -- Though you'd expect it to be busy, it really wasn't at all. The valet was bored because there was ample parking everywhere. No need to valet. We were greeted inside in a very warm manner and escorted to our outdoor hightop table overlooking the water. The view was perfect, and the seating was all shaded, so as long as there was a bit of a breeze, we never got yucky hot. Our server came over to make the intro, and handed us the menu, and guess what? No special Father's Day menu! It was just the Sunday brunch menu! Thankfully, it was a good menu, but it was a bit disappointing to think we'd chosen a place with a special menu, when in fact, we chose a place we could visit any given Sunday and still receive the same choices. Bummer! My husband's crabcakes were delish, and my flatbread was way overpriced. $17 for a SKIMPY flatbread was silly ridiculous. Sure, it was sizable, but I guess I expected it to be special and loaded with toppings. It just wasn't. Delray is spendy, and even an expensive price would've been $14. In my opinion, Olio has the best flatbread in Delray Beach, and this didn't even come close. Overall though, the kick-back yet dressy casual environment will bring us back in the door. A solid 4 stars with some room for improvement among those answering the phones, and a re-evaluation of some of the pricing could get me to bump to a 5.

Had absolutely great service from Jeremy and JJ at the bar! Ladies night on Thursday's is the place to be. One busy day, I was across the waterway and noticed that Hudson was open. I went to search their menu on my phone, and saw they had a few vegetarian options. At that point, I had to come in and check it out. It was an early afternoon, and we had some guests in town. We decided to check out Hudson with them. We asked for a table outside because the weather was gorgeous. As we were seated at our high top, I looked around at the crowd. It seemed to be a lot of very wealthy-looking people. At first, I was like great. I am going to order a $20 salad. However, it wasn't THAT bad. As for the vegetarian options (at-a-glance), you have the garden salad, iceberg wedge (ask for no bacon), Caprese, and the quinoa. In the "Intro" section, you have white flatbread (ask for no sausage) and Tuscan flatbread. I was quinoa'd-out that week. I decided to try the Tuscan flatbread. It came out hot and delicious. It had basil pesto, mozzarella, tomatoes, and arugula with lemon vinaigrette. It was awesome. Everyone else ordered meat dishes. I am not sure what, but their servings were large, and they seemed to enjoy it really. I would come back for happy hour and a snack again. I am not sure that I would come looking for a heavy meal as a vegetarian.

I really enjoy it here. But I don't understand why they removed the grilled cheese and tomatoe bisque popcorn dish. I went bakc here specifically for it, and they said they got rid of it? Why get rid of something so good? I didn't see any other vegetarian choices

This place is a true gem. The restaurant is set off the Ave a bit so you might have to really look for it. Trust me it's worth checking out. The ambiance is spectacular with an awesome view. I've eaten here a few times now and every time I'm impressed with the food. Always cooked perfectly and full of flavor. If you like crab cakes, try theirs. Amazing. The salmon was everything I'd hoped it be and more, even the fork and knife Caesar was an interesting take on a classic. The seafood selection is worthy of their location. The service was quick and friendly, the bar tenders are great and attentive. If you're in delray check this place out, you won't be disappointed.

A great experience at Hudson tonight. The reviews were much worse than our experience. I had a great caprese salad rolled in a cute hand roll like Asiago cone. The dressing was great. I had two small pretzel encrusted crab cake on the side which was delicious. My husband and friend had a nicely dressed Caesar salad that they loved. Other friend really enjoyed his salmon. Our server was delightful and the service was just fine despite the fact they were packed. Great new Delray place. The bar looks so fun.

My husband and I dined here last night and was truly a great experience. There was a 30 Minute wait, which my husband and I waited out by ordering drinks outside from the bar. The bartenders were extremely attentive and was able to help us immediately. I ordered a Lemon Drop Martini, to take advantage of their Martini Friday special. It was Delicious!!! We were sat outside in the patio where there was a live band playing which complimented the atmosphere. We ordered the PEI Mussels and the Burrata salad, the mussels were unexpectedly AHHMAZING the flavor combination was out of this world. For entrees we both ordered the skirt steak, another delicious dish! It comes with their specialty fries, but I ordered mine with asparagus. For dessert-which is was the only downfall...we ordered their brownie sundae---the brownie was extremely dry and did not compliment the other flavored of this dessert-it did have sautéed banana and used melted milk chocolate as a syrup which I thought was a nice touch but once again the brownie had to go. The GM Jude made the experience. He did random table visit and treated us like old friends. I will definitely be back again!

We have been here three times and every time the food had been delicious and the waiters attentive. The flatbreads are great as are the burgers, Caesar salad, and chicken sandwich. Be sure to save room for dessert as their version of a banana split is awesome.

Gorgeous patio located right on the intracostal! West facing so you actually get to see the beginning of the sunset. Live music on select nights and the food is absolutely amazing!! Very rare to find a casual atmosphere with a menu of diverse cutting edge flavor profiles. I love that they serve brunch on Saturdays with bottomless mimosas and Bloody Marys!

Three stars is really just for the view. I read many reviews and still decided to give them a try despite some bad reviews. The $19 hamburger was not good at all and the fries were cold. I suggest they go to park tavern or the office to see what a, $19 burger is supposed to look and taste like.

I visited Hudson Waterway East for Brunch recently and I must write about it. Not only was our server, Laura, AMAZING... the entire staff was very welcoming and energetic. A must try, the Coconut and Pineapple Mimosa! Also, the food! Panko Crusted French Toast with a Bourbon Maple Syrup, or the Shrimp and Grits... all incredible!

Food was average but the portions are very small and based on the menu pricing in comparison to other restaurants in the area, Hudson should be rated more expensive. Ambiance could be better if they would tone down the live music during dinner. Can't have a conversation without screaming. Service was good.

As a big fan of Deck 84, we often looked at the newly opened Hudson and vowed to check it out for lunch one day. Well, today the coldest day by far this year, we decided to check out the new restaurant. We ate outside close to the water and the space heater. I was a little shocked to see there was no special lunch menu and was a little more shocked to see the prices on the menu for "lunch". Not wanting to spend a lot for lunch, I ordered the lamb sliders...the waitress said it came with a choice of side--FF, Sweet Potato FF, or. Salad. Wanting to be good, I ordered the salad. I was a little surprised the waitress didn't ask what dressing I'd want, but thought it would be a House selection, I kept my mouth shut. The husband ordered a Ceasar salad with chicken for a whopping $18. My sliders came hidden by a brioche bun (nice looking), but when I opened them up all that were in were dried out shrunken hockey pucks of lamb which turned out to be as tasteless as unappetizing as they looked. I tried the Greek sauce but that too was tasteless. Geeez, do any chefs use salt and pepper any more? Not everyone in Florida is on a sodium restricted diet ya know. Oh, the dish came with sweet potato fries and not the salad I ordered. I didn't say anything because I secretly wanted the fries anyway. My suggestion, if you want to compete with Deck 84 across the way, better offer the $10 lunch, or the at least a special lunch menu, at the worst. I looked across the way at Deck 84 and they were packed for lunch 12:30 Friday afternoon, and this restaurant had a few stuffy looking patrons willing to pay the high prices....but I'm just thinking next time we eat at Deck 84 we will be gazing across the intercoastal at another closed up restaurant. Another waste of a great location. Trying to be high end, without following up with dried out lamb sliders and high prices overall. Will I return? Not likely. Would I recommend? Maybe for a special occasion, it is a nice looking restaurant and if high prices ($$$-$$$$) for a meal is in your budget.

Went here for my wife's birthday, overall everybody seemed to really like the place. The reason for the 4 rather than 5 stars was because a $19 burger should be way better than the one we ordered. Still, apart from that very good!!!

Stopped in on a Sunday afternoon, to see some family in the area and enjoyed a few yummy appetizers at the bar. Loved the atmosphere and the food was pretty darn tasty too. Will be back for sure when we are down that way again. Thanks Danielle for being our great bartender.

Hudson was a short walk across the parking lot from our hotel and fit the bill for a hot August evening. Our server was excellent and provided a lovely champagne for us to toast an anniversary. Very thoughtful. We shared a piece of fish, an appetizer and a salad and all were delicious. We enjoyed Hudson very much and appreciated an alternative to many over-priced restaurants in Delray.

Another experience where the ABSENCE of service takes the place down a notch. We went here the Saturday night of Delray Beach SantaCon. It happened to be my friend's birthday so we did have a large group (20+ people at 5+ tables with a multitude of different servers). The Good: 1) Awesome location with outside seating on the intercoastal 2) Decor- very tastefully done bravo to your design team 3) Food- really very good and affordable for intercoastal dining The Bad: 1) Slow Service 2) Lack of Service 3) Where's our waiter at all? The Ugly: 1) It took so long to get a server we left our table to go to the bar and get a drink. Desperate times call for desperate measures. Then returned back to our table and they were still waiting for drinks. We had our second round of drinks from the bar, before their first round showed up.

My fiancée and I finally decided to dine at Hudson today, and I must say it was a good experience overall. Hudson is honestly the only restaurant on Atlantic Ave. that actually has an abundance of parking. Once we walked through the doors, we were delighted to see how beautiful the interior set up was. The bar area was absolutely stunning. Definitely one of the coolest layouts I've seen around this area. Moving on to the food, we started with the small Carne Asada Flatbread. While we both enjoyed the Flatbread, it wasn't the most amazing we've ever had. Still, I would recommend trying it out if you like spicy, southwestern style foods. My fiancée ended up getting the Hudson Cobb salad which she said was okay, but not her favorite. Now for my meal, I had the Hudson Burger with the pepper and lime zest fries. The burger is made up of a short rib/brisket blend with caramelized onions, LTO and cheese on top. To me this burger was one of the best I've had in awhile, besides of course the burger at the Sybarite Pig. Overall, the waterfront location and the ambience more than made up for everything. Hudson is now one of our new spots to hang out, grab a few drinks and eat some good grub in a gorgeous location. Highly recommend!

First time to Hudson's and a new Delray local- been to the majority of the restaurants here. Very attractive restaurant and nice view of the intracoastal. Good service. Food was fresh and tasty, but nothing special and the prices are very high for no reason. Lunch- $16 French Dip with tiny side salad (instead of fries). App- fig and goat cheese flatbread; it was very good, but $16 and wasn't offered the small portion even though there were only two of us and the small was on the menu, but we didn't think to specify the size, nor were we asked proactively- feels like a sneaky upsell. "Lunch Specials" go up to $36 (ribeye)- kind of ridiculous, no? If I was in Chicago or Manhattan.... maybe, but Delray in the off season for a simple sandwich? I'd go back, but maybe for Happy Hour vs. a meal.

Tried Hudson's for the first time last night and will return again and again! What a wonderful experience! The 'pleasantries' started with the valet parking believe it or not! Pleasant and fun young man...joked with my daughter in law and my 2 year old granddaughter! Evening off on the right foot! Reservations for 4...3 adults and the 2 year old...Very pleasant gentlemen at the front desk there to greet us and make some small talk that lifted our already elevated spirits! Assigned a waitress and off to our table...inside by the glass wall in a booth overlooking the outside dining area and the waterway....beautiful! This has always been a beautiful place for a restaurant and Hudson's deserves this spot! Kim, our waitress was knowledgeable, polite and did not rush us....took a drink order and returned in a very timely fashion with one of the best made Negroni's I've ever had! Back for the dinner order where she went out of her way to describe the appetizers, main courses and wines in great detail....We ordered 2 appetizers to share, Lobster potato skins and fried calamari...Now everyone offers fried calamari, but Hudson's was superb! Tender on the inside and very crisp on the outside...what a great surprise...expected and was willing to accept rubbery fare..NOT the case! Delicious. Potato skins are highly recommended....Appetizers arrived again in a timely fashion and Kim took our dinner orders. Scallops for me, Snapper for my better half and skirt steak for my daughter in law...Arrived perfectly timed! Food was outstanding...Steak cooked to perfection...snapper was crisp on the outside and very moist on the inside and the scallops were perfectly cooked as I enjoy them...outstanding! Kim was very attentive without being a nuisance...the sign of good wait-staff! I had to compliment the manager (a Christopher Noth look-alike!) who was very polite, gracious and not at all patronizing...a gentleman who went on to treat us very graciously! The evening was made perfect by Hudson's, its staff, food, ambiance and atmosphere! I hate traveling down Atlantic on a Friday or Saturday, but now I have a reason to do so! This is certainly our 'go to' place in South Florida!

Just had dinner at Hudson and our meals were outstanding. The chef's new menu offered a wonderful variety of delicious food. 2 of us has the pork porterhouse...magnificent. Our waitress Jennifer was delightful. She was attentive and had a wonderful sense of humor which added to the overall experience. Although Kirsten, the hostess seemed to be having a bad day, she did not damper our wonderful evening. In fact, the other host Johnny, who had a wonderful personality, more than made up for what she lacked. Maybe the Hudson can offer a free drink if you can make Kirsten smile. LOL. Go and enjoy.

Just experienced brunch for the first time at Hudson's. I must say I was pleasantly surprised. Apparently brunch only started 3 weeks ago. The menu was not huge however the items we chose were out of this world delicious!! I ordered the Crab Cake Eggs Benedict and absolutely loved it. My niece had the Panko Crusted French Toast which was the most incredible thing I have ever tasted. My mother and grandmother gave rave reviews over their 2 Eggs with Corn, Potato, Cilantro hash. The presentation of all of the food gets you so excited to try everything. The service was great as well. Brunch certainly entices me to return.

Very impressive. So nice to have another waterfront choice as opposed to Deck 84 - a different menu and vibe. Only one visit so far. It's such a nice spot and was glad to see Old Calypso gone. Went for lunch didn't have any drinks but free refills on cokes. So you have to valet park in their lot no biggie. The lobster potato skins were delish. A Caesar salad came with white anchovy very nice. The arugula salad had candied figs which made it outstanding! My brisket-short rib burger was as good as it gets and cut into quarters making it neat and easy to eat...very nice touch. It's a beautiful restaurant with lots of different kinds of seating and views and a nice bar too. The deck has high tops too for great view. No fear that it will get crazy there since they are prohibited from loud music by the surrounding condos. Not cheap...but good. A very welcome addition to the scene, will return.

Last night my husband and I had dinner at Hudson. We had such an amazing experience. Our server was very punctual and the food was extremely flavorful. The manager Jan, came over and warmly greeted us. He made us feel like Hudson was not a restaurant but our home. As we were leaving he walked us out the front door and told us to have a lovely night. We will definitely be back to Hudson! Amazing staff, food, management, and atmosphere!

Best meal we had in Delray Beach, service was excellent, special thanks to Nathan on that one, super polite, efficient, great recommendations, absolutely nothing to complain about this place, clean, nice ambiance, food was the BEST! I used the yelp coupon for 14 bucks off the Ribeye steak which was fantastic! Wife got the skirt steak, both were prepared to perfection. Wish all places were this well run. I am not associated with this business in any way other than a customer, but really just can't say enough good things about our total experience here. Many thanks to the proprietors of Hudson!

With a new chef at the helm there is hope this restaurant will "find" itself among the galaxy of Delray offerings. The food is significantly better (we enjoyed their Flavors Palm Beach special 3 course luncheon, at $20, a September month-long special). And we appreciated the fact that the Chef came to the table to inquire about our satisfaction with his offerings.

This place has turned the corner from an underwhelming opening and rocky start. With a prime location, industrial chic decor, well rounded menu and new waterfront bar, Hudson is a solid destination for downtown Delray.

Hudson, previously Old Calypso. ..Hudson os now much improved from.the prior establishment. .... Upon arriving the host was kind... Obviously 1 can't hand out 4 & 5 stars like napkins thus, I can only give this place a 3. If the food improves we can quickly increase to a 5. (And it's only blocks from where we live ) The beer i had was a tangerine wheat called LOST COAST...it was AWESOME!!!! We started with the potatoe skins and fish dip. The potatoe skins had a creamy filling, don't think it was sour cream, but I didn't like the texture. I like crispy skins with a smidge of sour cream and chive,...these were not crispy...I didn't like them. The fish dip was smokey but too smooth for me...I ll prefer it chunkier. However, that said it was delicious. My fiancé and I split the short rib burger and fish tacos. Let me first say that I LOVE anything fish and prefer creatures of the sea to land animals 365 days a year. The fish tacos were good...not great. In my opinion I they need cilantro and jalapeños for sure. The short rib burger was flavorful, tender and easy to eat!!! Cut into four squares, I didn't think this would be the highlight of the not BUT I WAS WRONG! This was hands down the best tasting of the eve. I wanted to give a better review and before the food even came I had selected 4 of 5 stars but then after tasting our dishes I had ro give a 3... I am a resident of East Delray and live east of the bridge so we will be back for sure. I really hope that our next visit will turn into 4 or 5 stars.

Stopped in and we were glad we did. Had the mussels and they were amazing. The short rib burger was good too. Great service. I'd like happy hour prices to be honored other than the bar though. Will be back for sure.

The food was outstanding!!! Our waitress was great!!! We drove all the way from worth ave to try this place and I'm so glad I did, from the appetizers to dessert to our dirty martinis was awesome! Highly recommend my go to seafood place... Fell inlove with delray today. You won't be sorry.

This place was exactly what I was looking for as a visitor. Incredible atmosphere right on the water. Inside was a bit too loud but the outside was fine. The food on the menu was unique and tasted great. Would recommend most of the appetizers. Giving this restaurant 3 stars as the service was bad. Our waiter was consistently confused and didn't show up for 15+ minutes after we sat down. I would still come back!

In my most recent visit, Happy Hour proved too hard to resist and I would would be remiss if I didn't applaud the salmon which was a late addition and a 4th quarter standout. It was beyond; let's start with the skin, which was crisp and worthy of it's own zip code. Nestled atop a pillow of leeks and fingerling potatoes laced with a cream sauce and accented with the perfect amount of roe,it excited and satiated on the tongue, in tandem. Yet another home run!

We came here on a Friday night and had a great meal. We sat outside and had a beautiful view of the water. Our server was very pleasant and helpful, giving us suggestions on what to order when we couldn't decide what to have. For starters we had the golden and red beet, the organic quinoa salad and the Tuscan flatbread. Everything was fresh, delicious and beautifully presented. For mains we had the brisket short rib burger, done medium and cooked to perfection, the Atlantic salmon, also perfectly cooked and served with lemon hummus, tomatoes, cucumber salad and lemon dressing and a very generous side of hot, crispy and delectable parmesan fries, which we couldn't stop eating. We will be back for Mother's Day!

Hudson was everything I heard and more! The setup and ambiance of the restaurant is incredible. Their head chef is season 9 winner of Hell's Kitchen and he did not disappoint. The Host, Johnny, seated us at a beautiful waterside view table. Our server, Ryan, suggested his favorite items, the Wahoo and Pork Porterhouse. We went with his suggestions and were blown away. The manager, David, came to make sure we had an exceptional experience. Our expectations were exceeded between the food and the view! We will most definitely be back for another amazing experience at this up-and-coming restaurant on the inter-coastal.

Had the olive oil poached shrimp and oysters with mint under their appetizers and had to order another round. They were soooo good and tasty. The view of the waterway was lovely and the inside is well designed. We obviously didn't get past the appetizers but looking forward to try entree next time we go. Oh an on Thursdays women drink for free at the bar. Great for my other side of the human race....women.

If you are in the Delray Beach area, Hudsons is a must!!! My sister and I both had the Mahi Tacos for lunch. This dish was amazing!!! I did not think I could possibly finish both tacos, but I did. Moist, fragrant, with a bit of spice. Simply delicious!! The wait staff, Renato, was extremely attentive, one of the best waiters that I've experienced in the area. You must visit this restaurant!!!

Nice restaurant, love that it's on the water, which is probably it's best attribute. Service was Very Casually friendly, like so nice when items are forgotten or things get messed up you can't get upset. Food was ok but there were misses all night. Flavors (paillard & quinoa), Temps (all steaks), timing of serving everyone at once. Maybe the manager and chef were both off? Beet salad was a highlight! Ice cream sandwich was a disappointment, (cookie very hard & flavorless, ice cream strange flavor, chocolate milk ok).

Amazing service, mouth watering meals and rustic atmosphere easily makes Hudson's my new favorite restaurant in Delray Beach. This open plan restaurant instantly captivates your attention with its trendy decor, cozy ambiance, and beautiful view of the intercostal but it's their impeccable appetizers, such as the jumbo lump crab cake, that get you hooked from the very beginning. Hudson's continued to impress me with their Ladies night on Thursday offering free drinks and undivided attention. The manager, David Kaplan, even gave our table tasters of the PJ Rose Champagne. Can't wait to go back to try out more of their Delish meals and happy hour drink specials!

New staff, new chef, new menu and the best new spot around! You cannot beat the location - and their new bar on the deck is opening next week! I have eaten here a couple times and have been impressed with the service, presentation and the food. Absolutely LOVE the fish tacos and lobster mac n cheese! Keep it up Hudsons - we've been needing a laid back spot on the water like this!

Rather pricey, yet delicious mixed drink, followed by incredible sea bass over polenta all while watching the sunset over the intercoastal while a fan whirring over head kept us cool and comfortable. Only caveat, the key lime dessert had that rubbery texture that indicates it has been sitting around for a few days. Looked beautiful, tasted eh.

Hudson has a beautiful view. It sits right across from Deck 84. However, due to the lack of patrons and turn over the food tends not seem fresh. It's mostly an older crowd as well 50-70's. With a more elaborate drink menu and specials they would attract a younger crowd. Also their parking lot is small and valet takes up most of it forcing you to valet.

Is this real life !? Ladies night is amazing with all the sexual bartenders!!! You love marky mark? Well let me just tell you Josh is a spitting image and probably nicer! ;) Robbie is alright too. Haha the shrimp flatbread is delish which Robbie recommended while every FREE draft beer ( for ladies night) that josh recommended was great!! Don't forget about Juice and his fabulous man bun! Can't get enough of these studs and their great service !

This place is all concept and no delivery. The food is mediocre and way overpriced. They have a great venue. They had a great menu in theory.. armed with just about every industry buzz word and trending food at the moment. Your food comes served on fancy planks wrapped in faux newspaper and it looks cool. But its just a gimmick to distract from poor quality and dissapointment sets in as soon as you take your first few bites and it turns to anger when you get the check. Maybe good for drinks but I would dine somewhere else.

Last night was my first time eating at Hudson--I'd never heard of it before this weekend. I was completely unsure of what to expect, and since we had reservations for Mother's Day, I assumed we would be forgotten in a sea of frantic servers and annoyed customers. That was not the case at all. My boyfriend and I arrived before the rest of our party, and we were immediately seated. Our server came around right away to let us know she'd be with us shortly. She was very attentive even before she could give us her full attention, and when she did come to the table she was very knowledgeable, which was impressive considering their menu had just been updated that day. I ordered the Ancho Chai-Rita, which was a perfectly spicy, spiced-up version of a margarita. The table shared an order of calamari, which was the only dish I wasn't crazy about, as it was a little salty for my taste--otherwise cooked to perfection. We ordered the fig and goat cheese flatbread, which was expectedly delicious, along with the fork + knife caesar. The salad was a perfect size, which they had portioned out before bringing it to the table so my boyfriend and I could share easily. For dessert, we ordered the baby banana sundae, which we devoured before our server even left the table (seriously). Overall, the experience was wonderful. From the moment we entered to the minute we left, we felt welcomed and appreciated, and the food and drink were perfect. I also hear that they've just started brunch, which includes the option of bottomless coconut pineapple mimosas, which sounds INCREDIBLE, so I'll be checking that out ASAP!

This is the 4th time I have dined here since the restaurant opened. The food is awesome but the service is terrible. Consistently terrible. Get your act together guys - there are lots of great restaurants in Delray to choose from and folks will choose other places to dine if you don't improve your service!

We stopped in late for a drink and dessert, and they were happy to accommodate us. Hudson has a decent draft list, including several interesting beers, as well as wine and a house Long Island Iced Tea. We went for fancy beers, and weren't disappointed. Then the desert... The "Baby Banana Split" ($15) was highly recommended, so we went for it and decided to share. Good thing - it was gigantic. It was essentially bananas flambe meets ice cream meets brownie meets fruit parfait with a big crisp crepe roll on top. Why this was called a "baby" banana split, I have no idea. It took two of us to battle it, and we still left a couple bites behind! It was, however, delicious, and made for a very fun evening as we chatted and watched the boats roll down the intracoastal. Service was excellent. Our server was Kim, and she was helpful, patient, and very knowledgable about the menu. Even though we closed the place, we never felt rushed, and she was super friendly throughout. Pricing was a little on the high side - but sitting right on the water, that was expected. (Anyone thinking otherwise in this town is crazy!)

Just had a Valentine's lunch with my wife and Daughter at Hudson's. My wife loved the garden salad with salmon, she rated it a 10. My Daughter ordered the kids pizza that came with fresh fruit, she ate it up! I ordered the seafood chowder and the lamb sliders with fries, the chowder had 3 types of fish in it, was great. The lamb sliders were just ok, rather plain, it came with taziki sauce, but still just so so. I found the prices for lunch a little high.

Fantastic experience, service, and food. This will definitely be one of our new faves in Delray and only a short hop from home in Boca. The fish tacos were amazing and entrees were fabulous as well. The ambiance is great as well!

We just got back from a wonderful Fathers Day Brunch. We sat outside on the intra coastal patio and were presently surprised with half off on all drinks. A special that is honored 7 days per week before 7pm. The service was attentive and the food was very good. I especially enjoyed the quinoia side. This one could make a great entree salad with chicken. Our meal included Atlantic oysters, a huge artisan burger and delicious lobster club sandwich. I would recommend all. Great food, great service and all with a water view.

I am not a regular yelper, but I believe in giving credit where credit is due, and my recent experience at Hudson Waterway East was above and beyond my expectations. I took my mother here for Mother's Day Brunch, a busy day for this restaurant that sits on the intercoastal, and the food and service were exceptional. I ordered the hamburger, and my mom ordered the panko-crusted french toast. I ordered a sangria, a unique version of this drink, and it was the best I've had! During our stay, people were constantly checking on us, welcoming us and making sure our every need was met. At the end of her meal, my mother requested some wet wipes to clean her hands. The waiter brought a basin of warm water to the table, and my mother looks at me and says, "The water's even warm!" As we were leaving the restaurant, I stopped by the bathroom to notice one of the servers was at the sink washing her hands, and before leaving she wiped the water off the entire granite sink countertop. I was completely blown away by the level of service that was provided for us for such a new restaurant on the intercoastal. They not only meet the demands of the high volume of customers they serve, but they constantly go above and beyond to make sure everyone leaves happy. I will be back soon!

Amazing. Just amazing. We started off with two cocktails at the new outdoor bar - Josh the bartender was great. Then we moved inside to more great service from Ryan - I did the watermelon/tomato gazpacho which was just fabulous. You can really tell the technique of the kitchen staff. Moved on to the burrata - equally tasty. My boyfriend had the hudson burger and a side of lobster mac n cheese. He loved the entire meal. We ended with the banana split brownie situation which surprisingly had a ton of fresh berries - made us both feel better about the calories. Highly recommend this place - will definitely be back.

Went there for my daughter's birthday. Thought it would be nice on the waterway and all. The service was very poor the waitress forgot half our order by the time we hunted her down we have pretty much finished out meal. The food was cold and not very tasty at all. I guess from the other reviews we just went on a bad night... A VERY BAD NIGHT.

Visiting from New York City and Hudson made me feel like I was in NY. Just had dinner here. Great attentive wait service, the chef stopped by to talk to everyone, the manager talked to every table and the food was a step above other offerings on the water and my drink had a kick to it. Fresh and classy. I would come here any time and bring friends. My lump crab was sooo tasty and the snapper was to die for. Nothing makes the experience worthwhile though like exemplary service!
